I am stuck in my ways at my advancing age. This instantly reminded me of The Lumberjack Song. The lumberjack, of course, dreamed of leaping from tree to tree through the mighty forests of British Columbia, surrounded by mounties as he sang. Me loose associations notwithstanding, this is an absolutely charming picture. You're right about a man in uniform, at least one as dashing as this.

Seem to remember once reading a book - I think it was called Susannah and the Mounties - and I seriously thought of emigrating to Canada... something about men in uniform!!
